The Women's Center of Beaumont specializes in providing a variety of obstetric services - from prenatal care to childbirth - aimed at ensuring the health of the mother and her baby. Our full complement of services includes caring for high-risk pregnancies as well as:

Ultrasound Screening
When the physician asks that you schedule an ultrasound examination either here at Women's Center of Beaumont or Healthsouth Diagnostic, this ultrasound is considered a screening test that is offered to women who are at low risk of having a baby with a structural abnormality.

Prenatal Screening
Fortunately, most babies are born healthy. However, as all prospective parents are “at risk,” it is natural to want to clarify any unique concerns. The real questions for most couples are: do we face a higher than expected or higher than baseline risk? If so, for what? Do we have options to deal with these risks? Prenatal screens are used to make this determination. Those identified as facing an increased risk are offered follow-up testing and/or genetic counseling to clarify, diagnose, or exclude the concern. Having this knowledge helps some couples plan, prepare or make management decisions for their baby.

Providing answers for common concerns during pregnancy
During your pregnancy, you may at times face minor problems that require care. It is the best philosophy to use little or no therapies, and the following guidelines are provided so that you may safely treat yourself while exposing your baby to the minimal amount of danger. If you have any further questions, please call the office. For our guidelines related to common concerns during pregnancy, click here.

Seeing your unborn child for the first time is sure to touch your heart.  Using the latest in 3D/4D fetal imaging allows you to view your baby during a relaxed, personalized, and unique 3D 4D ultrasound session.

What is 4D ultrasound?
“4D” is shorthand for four-dimensional – the fourth dimension being time. As far as prenatal ultrasound is concerned, 4D ultrasound is the latest prenatal ultrasound technology.  4D takes three-dimensional 3D ultrasound images and adds the element of time to the process. This allows you to see your unborn baby in amazing real time detail.

Women’s Center of Beaumont is now offering First Trimester screening. This screening has previously been available in Houston and we are proud to be the first to offer this service to our patients in Beaumont and surrounding areas.

Screening involves a specialized ultrasound exam at 11 weeks 1 day -13 weeks, 6 days called a Nuchal Translucency (NT), to perform this ultrasound requires special certification.

In addition, blood is collected at the same visit via finger stick for analysis. Your results are usually available within one week and will be discussed at consultation with a provider.
